Success
DTW has seen such success over the month of August with our first major project, which was showcased to you and the public, the Wedding Dress.
​
This wedding dress was first bought and worn in the Summer of 2005 in a boutique in London.
​
I was given the dress to turn it into something new for a Summer 2025 wedding. With your help, I was able to come up with a fresh design for this dress.
​
Chopped off the bottom, added an Empire waistline, and Jimmy Choo inspired embroidery.....
​
You guys helped me to create the perfect maternity wedding dress.
​
I had so much fun creating this and would definitely do it again. It was so fun to try to create a vision from a vision and I would love for you guys to give me the opportunity to do this again! xx
What's to come
September is fast approaching, so what's next?
​
DTW Founder, Jana, will be starting her 2nd year at Jimmy Choo Academy up in London.
With a summer filled with creating designs and working on techniques, we cannot wait for you to see what comes next.
​
Our next focus for the next few weeks will be all about installing zips pockets and fun techniques, so watch out!
​
TikTok is going to be very busy with loads of content so don't forget to follow so you don't miss out on anything.

With us being very busy moving into our new space, we haven't had the chance to set up a lot yet. Including wifi :(

This is why our social media has been very quiet and I am SO sorry about all that. WIth moving we haven't been able to film any content or uplaod anything but do not worry girlies...

WIFI CAME!! we finally have it all set up as well as the space is all perfect so I promise, September will be absolutely filled with loads of videos.

Our fave top beauty tip at StyleHub this September is walking.
I know it sounds so simple but I have spent the last 6 months trying this myself and it honestly works
💖 With or without music, I'd say without as you're able to actually experience everything around you
💖 It makes you feel SO good afterwards you have to trust me
💖 In London, if time allows, I like to get off the train a stop or so before my actual stop and walk to my destination to get the extra steps in
💖 This tip is such a quick and easy way to make your body and mind feel so good. I cannot stress enough that basic exercise changes your life so much.

Firstly OMG ???
Cher's wardrobe computer outfit styling machine is insane, Barbie's 'Closet' in Life in a dream house could honestly never.
​
I love this as a fashion movie as it is so iconic. Not even for the time, but also it is still relevant to the present day and to me, that is what is most important when it comes to fashion. Constantly being iconic.
​
From the yellow suit, to Ty's whole makeover, this whole movie screams diva and here at DTW, we live for it.

Clueless
Bratz Rock Angelz
Divas, everything about this movie is so nostalgic to me, but also the fashion is, as the Bratz would say, Stylin'.
​
This is the movie that inspired the brand DTW and inspired this blog. I am obsessed with the grunge but cool and kinda sexy looks of the girls, the soundtrack is so y2k coded too.
​
I mean, the hair animation is definitely something, but we can look past that, it's the Bratz after all.
​
In this movie, we follow the girls around London as they explore how different styles compare to those in the US.
​
This movie means a great deal to me, as it inspired me to become a designer. However, you can hear all about that on our TikTok, so I won't bore you by repeating myself.

Devil wears Prada
This movie is a classic, let's be honest.
For some reason, the chaotic way the movie is made, New York, Andy running about frantically and so on, this is how I wanted my future to be.
​
I love Miranda's iconic "That's all", but the movie itself is so interesting. The way that no other band thought the movie would be a success, except for Prada?
​
I love all the characters, well, maybe except for the evil boyfriend, but this movie opened my eyes to more of the fashion world. The fact that the fashion world isn't just about designing and making clothes. There are also photographers, magazines, and stylists. The fashion world is massive, with so many parts to it that I hadn't even considered before watching this movie.
Confessions of a shopaholic
Now this may sound crazy, but I actually only just watched this movie for the first time this week....

I have to say though, I totally relate!
I find myself loving shopping, always spending money. I love a good sale and Rebecca in this movie feels like a copy and paste of me!
​
This movie is such a fashion movie, filled with comedy, romance and of course, this movie has a passion for fashion.
​
Now I swear I won't spoil anything for you but girls, if you haven't already, do go check out this movie. I never related more to such a film.

I love finding second-hand clothing. If you are searching right, you can always find some incredible bargains.
Take this, for example, last year I found Louis Vuitton Heeled boots for such a bargain! My one tip with buying second-hand shoes, though, buy a disinfectant spray to spray the insides before wearing them...
As a fashion designer, I love upcycling.
Looking at something and creating a new life for it makes me SO happy. Especially as fashion is a massive polluter.

Even if I can use parts of it, I was throwing out an old hoodie, but I cut the cuffs off first so I could use them in a later project, for example.
Styling might sound silly...
But even styling something differently than what you would usually do.
​
Try creating new outfits with what you already have. I accidentally wore a different top with this skirt I have, but I have unintentionally created one of my fave outfits ever now.

When it comes to being stylish, I love sharing.
Such a small silly thing, but honestly, girl, sharing is your best friend.
Borrow your girlfriend's top for that night out, let her wear your skirt!
It helps create such a bond between friends, but also everyone has different styles and different ways of wearing their clothes, so you never know, it might spark some inspo seeing them in your clothes!
