Fashion World Updates

Paris Fashion Week
This month we saw Paris Fashion Week, Men's.
What stood out especially was Dior's newest creative director debut, Jonathon Anderson.

Anderson designs gender fluid designs and has worked with Ariana Grande and Rihanna.
French house Saint Laurent will also be making an appearance, returning after not walking in PFW since January 2023.
Latest Trends
Plaid is back and more fabulous than ever!

This iconic pattern is making its comeback in the fashion world.

We have seen around plaid jeans, dresses and tailored blazers, plaid is being reimagined in a way that showcase its incredible versatility.

This was not an expected trend, as many have commented that it reminds them of UK Primary school uniforms, however let's see where this goes!

Decades Interviews

June 2025

We asked you what your favourite trend in the decades you grew up in and here is what you said...

Like hearing about fashion in different decades? Let us know via social media!

This month is all about the 60s!
With icons such as Twiggy and Mary Quant, we asked you what your favourite part of the 60s was and this is everything you said.

TWIGGY

"She had a huge impact. Completely different from anyone we'd ever seen before. Very tall and very skinny.
Not beautiful like Jean Shrimpton, but looked so good in short geometric shift dresses"
Twiggy was a model and actress who gained popularity in the 1960s. She is known as 'the first ever supermodel'  and wore what was known as the 'London Look' or the 'Mad Look', which included bold prints, boots, and miniskirts.
What made her popular was her look. Her boyish haircut, petite figure, and big eyes, gave her a unique look which hadn't been seen in the fashion industry before.

"Designers such as Mary Quant, Members Only, and Designers Jeans were such a big deal that movies got made"

MARY QUANT

Mary Quant transformed the fashion world with her designs. She introduced the iconic miniskirt, giving women the chance to embrace their freedom. Her dynamic use of colours and patterns sparked inspiration for designers such as Lucy Carrie and Jane Neave.

Her work challenged traditional fashion and helped to define the hippie movement.

Over the next few months, we will be expanding on the decades and going further into them. If you have a fashion memory from a decade, let us know!
